Ronald George Granados: A Life that Mattered Pastor Ronald “Ron” George Granados, peacefully entered into the loving arms of Jesus, surrounded by his loving family, on Monday, March 27, 2017 at his home in Hesperia, California at the age of 61, following a courageous battle with multiple cancers. Ron is survived by his wife, Donna; three children, Joshua Beechan, Amber (Brian) Tomczak, and Jerrod Granados; beloved granddaughter, Kailynn Tomczak; Sisters Lynnae (Mark) Fradella, Boulder City, Nevada, and Karin Greene, Encinitas, California; along with many sisters and brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, and cousins. He is preceded in death by his brother, Jeffery Granados; father, George Granados; mother, Geraldine Atchley; and Step-father, Roger Atchley. Ron was born on February 3, 1956 in Pasadena, California to George and Geraldine (Grossman) Granados. He married Donna Dorene Dover, on April 11, 1981, whom he met through a church fellowship group, proposed to on their first date, and loved passionately for 36 years. When they married, he gladly took on the sacred roll of loving and raising her son Joshua as his own. While the small family lived in Montclair, California, Ron co-owned and operated Hi Tech, a successful commercial screen printing and graphics company. Eventually, they added two more children, Amber and Jerrod, to their family and relocated to Hesperia, California in 1987. During his 30-year residency there, he was known as a leader in various industries under his business Source 1. His wife and children remember him as a loving and devoted husband and father who encouraged them to pursue their goals and enthusiastically cheered them on through every endeavor. Ron downsized his entrepreneurial pursuits in order to fulfill the higher calling of Christian ministry. He dedicated his life to loving Jesus and exemplifying Christ to every person with whom he came into contact. He served others through men’s bible studies, marriage ministries, counseling, and eventually as the senior Pastor of Highlands Community Church in Victorville, California. Ron’s purpose on this earth was to live a life that mattered. not just in this temporal life, but for all of eternity. As evident by the innumerable lives that loved him and were impacted by his life and his death, he did exactly that. A funeral is scheduled for Tuesday, April 11, 2017 at Sunset Hills Memorial Park and Mortuary 24000 Waalew Rd., Apple Valley. Family, friends, and others whose lives Ron touched are invited to attend and celebrate his life. The family will greet friends in the chapel from 9:00 am until the service begins at 11:00 am. Pastor Pat Kenny will officiate the ceremony and graveside service. Reception to follow immediately after. Flowers for the services may be sent to Sunset Hills Memorial Park and Mortuary. Condolences or donations may be sent to Donna Granados, 11043 Pinon Avenue, Hesperia, CA 92345.
